This cute little wooden sheep was carved in Ittobori style around the 1970s. It was made as a good luck charm, to celebrate the Year of the Sheep, by Ogami Shrine. It is carved from natural camphor wood. It is unadorned except for it’s quaint silver painted horns.
The wooden figure has been roughly carved with a chisel and is in great vintage condition. It comes in it’s own storage box. On the front, ‘Ogami Jinja’,(Ogami shrine) ‘Hitsuji Doshi’, (Year of the Sheep), and ‘Omamori’, (lucky charm), have been written.
