'Ambedo is a word from The Dictoionary of Obscure Sorrows by John Koenig, meaning : a kind of melancholic trance in which you become completely absorbed in vivid sensory details.
When I first discovered this word it struck me as beyond interesting as through much of my career, my work has been a reflection of these moments I have experienced like this from the time I was small.
