Founded in 1877 in the Tosa Ryohoku district, in the northen part of Kochi. It is located in the quiet Shikoku Mountains, near Sameura Lakeside. Under the stewardship of 6th Generation owner, Muneki Matsumoto, the brewery has seen a renaissance, and been winning worldwide acclaim.
Unlike most sparkling sake on the market, John is a serious Brut style, bottle fermented Junmai Daiginjo, with 6 bars of pressure and a full 15% ABV.
The delicacy of the bubbles, and brut quality of the highly polished sake, saw this sake clinching the IWC Trophy.
