His Échappée Belle is a Chardonnay that comes from vineyards in Côte de Blancs and in Marne, vinified in steel, 30 months on yeasts. It's a full and ripe Champagne, pulpy and roundly fruity, helped in drinkability by a fine acidity and by a stony minerality, clean. The nose, young and slow to open up, it's flowers and herbs, peach and toasted bread, with a subtle puff of stones.
