A delightful cinnabar Ido-shaped chawan, handmade by Kurosaki Akitoshi, based in Hasami (near Arita, in Kyushu). By blending pink clay with iron spangles, each piece has a completely unique and individual surface reminiscent of falling red plum blossom petals. This abstract and colourful handmade aspect creates a personal and warm connection to the artist. A rare piece.
